A message to the visitors.

NWR. May,2005. You know that blogs or Web logs popularity is booming today. I feel that the true value of blog is to share your stories and idea with people in the cyberspace. I have created my own blog at one server, but I don't have much time to write my daily activities like other bloggers. What I can do will be only to write when something inspires me to write, and that happen not much often . Another reason is that I don't want to rely on blog software which dictate the style of the webpage and the procedure to update my blog. So I think it's better to use my website "www.natureconcern.com" as blogers use blogs.

During my office days, I work with computer and electronics. My life is always busy about these artificial things even though it is enjoyable. However, my best time comes to me when I have a break from my work and go to the mountain and forest area. Chanee-2540-1-ccs (26K)

I like taking photographs, so I have a lot of pictures and good memory of many places I visited. For a life of a person, not only work, money, love and sex, are worthwhile to struggle for, but experiences, good time and beautiful memory are more valuable. It is a pity if your goodtimes and experiences are kept only for yourself, since we can not live forever. So why don't share it with others? Life is too short (Scorpion has a nice song), I feel that sharing them with other people will make them even more valuable.

Most of my good memories are about beautiful nature, animals and people. I feel that I was lucky to have chances to see them. I am concern how to prolong the life and condition of what I've seen and fascinated. For those who do not have time to get in touch with the nature (even it is surounding them), they will never understand how some pepple are so concern and fighting to protect it. Pictures and stories are a mean that can make people appreciate natural resources and understand nature lovers.

This is why I named this URL "natureconcern.com". This is the reason why I created this website

Why in English? Well..., it's the only language I know that can communicate with more people in this world. Many articles were written in Thai as well.

About my robotic pages.

Beside being in love with the mother nature, I am also interested in robotics. Therefore, during my teaching career, I suppervised a number of robotic undergrad projects. My original idea in stepping into rebotic research was to try to invent a new type of vihicle that do not use the road for travelling. I am hurt when I saw forests and wildlife conservation areas were dammaged by the road they built to promote tourist industry. I thought foolishly that, if we can build a legged vihicle that can travel in the jungle just about 50% as fast as a 4-wheel truck, and it can climb the mountain quite well, we would not have to destroy the forest to built the road as much as we did.

According to this idea, since 1994 during my terms as a secretary general of The Electronic Association of Thailand and an executive committee of the Computer Association of Thailand under the Royal Patronage of His Mejesty The King(CAT), I promoted a few legged robot contests . The racing grounds were designed such that robots must be able to walk over a hard slippery terain, up and down a high clay slope, sand and water. This is to simulate the mountainous area in Thailand.

My first legged robot racing initiative in 1994 was a successful event, it was broadcasted in many Thai TV channels. After the race, a TV program by Srunyoo Wongsekrajang(ศรัณยู วงศ์กระจ่าง), a Thai movie star, invited me to demonstrate that legged robot racing. The 2nd event got a chance to demonstrate a legged robot in action to Her Mejesty Royal Crown Princess Sirinthorn. I think some webpages and photo albums from those events may benefit some of my webpage visitors, so I posted them here. Please be aware that I don't have much time to correct the old scripts so many links are broken, but they are not the main content.
